Creating Loving Bonds

“I first met Matt on the first day I came to volunteer at Compassionate Heart. We just hit it off the first time we talked. He is so kind and welcoming to everyone around him. Every time I volunteer at Compassionate Heart he greets me with a huge hug and says hi Levi. His hugs give me smiles of Joy and light up my day. Matthew loves for me to sit by him every time at dinner and of course every time I say YES! Before or after dinner we always have fun dancing and singing to Baby Shark and YMCA. I can not wait to see what God has in store with the friendship Matthew and I have together.

I come to Compassionate Heart almost every Tuesday or at least once a week as a Volunteer. There are so many reasons why I keep on coming back. One of the ways is that when you are there you can feel most like yourself. You can be as goofy as you want and no one will every judge you. Another reason is that it is a Christian organization. It is so amazing that Compassionate Heart is able to sing Christian songs and do devotions every time before dinner. The final reason is that the people at Compassionate Heart will always make your day. It does not matter if you are having the best day or the worst, when you are at Compassionate Heart you will be happy.

I am so blessed that God has given me a friend like Matthew. I am so grateful that he has given me the talent to be around people with special needs. I can not wait to see what he has in store for me in the future.”
